Unasherehekeaje sikukuu na familia?: How do you celebrate holidays with family?

Happy Holidays my dear readers,

December is such a lovely month and we sure love it. With me holidays means family time. A time to bond together and make memories. I might not remember many things from my childhood but I surely remember Christmas.

Every family has their own ways of celebrating holidays and creating memories, these depends with budgets and many other factors although one thing is common, the goals and aim of the celebration. If you have a big budget your options are many but if you have a small budget here are some tips on how to make your holiday memorable, enjoyable and a bonding experience.

  1. Dedicate your time for your family.
We have been working hard all year long, let the children have you during the holidays. Put the electronics away for a while so that you give room for family. Do not work on your laptop if not necessary and limit the use of social media to give your family that precious moment.

2. Do activities together.

There are a lot of cooking this season, cook together and make a mess...laugh about it and have fun. Remember the card sending traditions? prepare cards with your little ones and teach them the good tradition

3. Read books and catch up on a bit of school projects
May be through the year you did not have enough time to follow up on a lot of school activities take the time to follow up. Set time to read books together and learn new things.

4. Choose child friendly entertainments for your little ones
Most of us remembers Home alone movies right? What a better time to introduce your little one to the classics that this? Have game nights these are very educative, have talent shows at home and have fun.

5. Introduce your little one to more family
This is the time many people meets the extended family, teach your little one the family relationship and let her get familiar with their family
